SiteHive was named Startup of the Year at the 2026 Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards, capping off a year of product innovation and sustained growth.
The award was presented at a gala dinner at the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney on Thursday 10 September, where Startup Daily recognised the standout founders, startups and scaleups shaping Australia and New Zealand’s tech landscape across 15 categories. SiteHive was selected from a strong field of finalists for its track record of turning real construction industry problems into practical, widely-adopted technology.
What are the Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards?
The Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards celebrate the innovation, impact and diversity of the ANZ tech startup and scaleup community. Now in its fourth year, the awards drew hundreds of nominations across categories including Startup of the Year, Most Innovative Startup, and AI Gamechanger.
Past honourees include companies such as GO1, Hysata, Deputy, Goterra, Q-CTRL and Samsara Eco, making SiteHive’s win a significant marker of the company’s standing in the broader Australian tech ecosystem.
A year built on solving the actual problems that customers face
SiteHive’s approach has always started with a focus on the people managing noise, dust, vibration, water and weather impacts on sites, not on the technology itself. That focus has driven a number of major product releases over the past year, each aimed at delivering more capability and insight to construction and heavy operational industries.
SiteHive Co-founder Ben Cooper-Woolley says, “Innovation that provides real-world results has always been our focus. And it’s supported strong and sustained growth every year since we started.
“Over the last year for example, we’ve launched a new weather monitoring system, SiteHive Weather, that brings hyperlocal forecasting into the same platform as environmental data; a new, industry-first capability that uses AI to automatically classify vibration impacts based on vibration waveforms; and a range of other new features.”
“At the same time, we were recognised as one of the AFR’s most innovative companies and were in the Deloitte Tech Fast 50. Being named Startup of the Year now sits alongside those milestones as recognition that our approach is working.”
The team behind the growth
SiteHive Co-founder Adam Ferguson credits the award to the team who have built the company from a two-person Antler incubator project in 2019 into a successful business now running on hundreds of projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Ferguson says, “Awards like this belong to the whole SiteHive team. We’ve got engineers building award-winning devices that work in the tough environment of construction sites, a software team turning raw sensor data into something an environmental manager can act on in seconds, and a customer team that’s out working with our customers every day to help them get the most effective outcomes.”
“Everyone at SiteHive has helped build a culture where good ideas can come from anywhere, and become products and features quickly. That’s rare, and it’s the reason we can keep innovating while we scale.”
What this means for SiteHive customers
Being named Startup of the Year reflects a pattern customers will already recognise: a platform that keeps evolving without disrupting the teams relying on it day to day. As SiteHive’s product set and market reach continue to grow, the underlying promise stays the same – easier, more proactive environmental management, backed by a team invested in getting it right.
