The all-new SiteHive Hexanode Noise devices bring new capabilities to environmental noise management for infrastructure, construction, civil, building and operational facilities. They’re engineered to be smarter, more accurate, and deliver better insights.
These new noise monitoring devices are built to help you meet environmental regulations, reduce site impacts, and streamline your workflows – all with ease!
What’s new in SiteHive Noise monitoring?
A new design optimises noise measurement accuracy
The next-gen SiteHive Hexanode Noise devices feature a new dome design to deliver full 360 degree monitoring and enhanced acoustic performance. They include:
- Improved dynamic range and resolution
- Cleaner data, even in low‑level noise environments
- Enhanced frequency response across environmental and industrial bands
NATA calibration for trusted compliance
For anyone running large, complex, sensitive or high-risk projects, the next-gen devices now provide the peace of mind and traceability of NATA calibration.
SiteHive Hexanode Noise devices can be NATA-calibrated by any independent NATA-accredited lab. You can organise this yourself, or SiteHive can provide the devices NATA calibrated and ready to go, along with appropriate Certificates. Our calibration partners include Calibre and NVMS.
The device calibrations are traceable, documented and aligned with national and international standards. This includes calibration against:
- IEC 61672-3:2013 (Sound Level Meters)
- IEC 61260-1:2019 (Octave Filters)
NATA calibration is an optional feature, so if you don’t need this level of calibration, the devices come as standard fully calibrated by SiteHive.
Easy in-field calibration
The focus on accuracy is extended through easy calibration in the field. The new sphere design can be popped off without the need for special tools, and the microphone can be calibrated by standard acoustic calibrators.
Stronger connectivity options
All SiteHive Hexanode devices now come with multi-network support, including 4G and Wi-Fi. Network roaming allows you to choose the best available network, to help ensure consistent, reliable data no matter where the devices are located.
Better insights: Octave band analysis
SiteHive’s focus is always to deliver better information so that people can make confident and informed decisions. The next-gen devices extend this further with features like octave band analysis. With this you can quickly identify dominant frequencies and take action to reduce impacts as required.

Choose standalone Noise monitoring, or paired with Dust
There are two SiteHive noise monitoring devices: SiteHive Hexanode Noise and SiteHive Hexanode Noise+Dust. They both include exactly the same noise monitoring and features, but the latter also includes advanced Dust monitoring.
If you’re looking to monitor both noise and dust, the combined device is a great option for easy deployment and lower costs.
What else is standard in the next-gen SiteHive Hexanode Noise devices?
The new devices also come with all the advanced features and innovations SiteHive devices are known for, including:
- Directional noise mapping – so you can see the source and travel of noise clearly on your SiteHive Enviro Dashboard map.
- Triggered images and audio – when events occur SiteHive devices take images and audio so it’s easy to identify the causes of exceedances
- AI Audio Classifier – automatically listens to, identifies and classifies your site noise so you don’t have to. The Classifier distinguishes between construction and other noise sources, so you can report accurately, and take action only when you need to.
- Daily Timeline – this lets you see all activities at a glance, with noise levels, images and audio on a selectable time line. The timeline summary is a great way to access info quickly, and drill down to investigate specific times if you need to.

Easy to deploy, easy to maintain
The next-gen Noise devices are designed for quick field setup, easy servicing, and zero fuss. They feature:
- Easy “plug-and-play” setup
- Automatic cloud pairing to link data to SiteHive Enviro software
- A range of mounting and power options
- Support from our team of experts if you need it.
Not just devices: a complete environmental management system

Every SiteHive Hexanode monitoring device syncs seamlessly with SiteHive Enviro, SiteHive’s award-winning, cloud-based software platform. From here you can view, analyse, and report on everything.
Data and contextual information from noise, dust, vibration, water, weather, and more – it’s all in one place: at your fingertips. So you can see trends, pinpoint causes, and act faster than ever.
Built for the full project lifecycle
From pre-construction assessments and baseline noise monitoring, through peak construction activity, and on to post-completion reporting, handover and operation, SiteHive Hexanode Noise devices are designed to support all phases of a project:
| Phase | Use case |
|---|---|
| Planning | Baseline noise monitoring |
