Webinar replay: What’s new in SiteHive Vibration

Construction projects are becoming more complex, with increasing expectations around protecting nearby infrastructure, maintaining compliance and responding quickly when vibration events occur.

In this 30-minute product deep dive, SiteHive product expert, Michael Manraj Darroch, walks through the latest additions to SiteHive Vibration. Including VC Curve monitoring for sensitive equipment, AI-powered vibration classification, and new workflow tools that make reviewing vibration events faster and easier.

Whether you’re already using SiteHive Vibration or exploring it for the first time, this webinar shows how these new capabilities can help you better understand vibration impacts, reduce manual investigation and make faster, more confident decisions on site.

Monitor vibration for sensitive equipment with VC Curves

SiteHive Vibration has expanded beyond structural vibration, human comfort and ground-borne noise to now include monitoring for sensitive equipment using Vibration Criterion (VC) Curves. This new measurement is built into existing SiteHive Hexanode Vibration devices, meaning no additional hardware or specialist equipment is required.

During the webinar, Michael explains why this capability is becoming increasingly important as construction projects take place closer to hospitals, laboratories, universities and other facilities where sensitive equipment can be affected by vibration.

You’ll see how the SiteHive Enviro platform helps you:

  • Monitor Root Mean Square (RMS) broadband velocity in real time
  • Assess compliance against industry-standard VC Curves using 1/3 octave band analysis
  • Receive live notifications when thresholds are exceeded
  • Get clear, actionable reports for project teams and stakeholders

Understand vibration events faster with AI classification

Knowing that an exceedance occurred is only part of the story. Understanding what caused it is what allows teams to respond quickly when needed.

The webinar introduces SiteHive’s new AI Vibration Classifier, which automatically identifies whether recorded vibration events are construction-related or caused by other activities.

Developed in collaboration with Renzo Tonin & Associates and researchers from the University of Technology Sydney, SiteHive Vibration Classifier helps reduce the time spent reviewing vibration data by providing immediate context around exceedances. The webinar includes examples showing how the classifier distinguishes between construction and non-construction activities.

This makes it much faster to:

  • Review exceedances
  • Separate genuine construction events from unrelated activity
  • Reduce manual investigation
  • Build confidence when communicating results with stakeholders

Advanced workflow and control tools

Large infrastructure projects can generate thousands of vibration events, making manual review both time-consuming and difficult. The webinar showcases smarter workflows available in SiteHive Enviro Pro, including Vibration Smart Select.

Using industry-standard criteria, DIN 4150-3 and BS 7385-2, Vibration Smart Select automatically identifies relevant vibration events, allowing users to quickly filter, triage and explain exceedances.

Combined with contextual information such as images and audio from nearby SiteHive Hexanode Noise or Noise+Dust devices, teams can investigate events more efficiently and create clear reports for clients, regulators and project stakeholders.
